Looking to take your business to the next step, but not sure where to begin? We have the perfect solution for you! Our Start Smart Program offers opportunities to demystify how to start your company in the Lynchburg region.
We are offering several free virtual classes where you can learn about getting your business started, budgeting, marketing, and more. The classes are free and you are able to pick and choose however many classes you’d like to attend.

If you are starting a new business or have only been in business for a short time, our Start Smart classes cover the ins and outs of creating a successful business plan. We will guide you in determining which licenses and permits you may need and introduce you to other resources which are available to launch your new venture. We can also help you understand taxes and expenses – an area that can be overwhelming. Our goal is to provide you with an outline of what you will need to be aware of for your business and resources that you can return to after your initial class.
